Project Experience of Scott Kevin Jones

Patriots NFL Stadium - Foxboro, MA

Architect of Record: HOK Sport + Venue + Event

Structural Engineer: Walter P. Moore

Opening Day - September 2002

Gillette Stadium was a wonderfully successful project for us and for the client. I was sent to Foxboro for a couple months to bridge the gap as site representative until our full time site rep was ready to move out permanently.

The tower in the South endzone is designed to be an abstraction of a lighthouse.

There is a two-bay bridge crossing a gap at the base of the lighthouse, a wider offset gap at the club deck, and the upper deck is set back further still. The smaller South scoreboard is freestanding within it's own enclosure above the Main Concourse. There are two levels of luxury suites above the club seating deck.

The high ceilings of the club lounge are open to balconies at both suite levels, providing a great place to see and be seen.

The team trains at the same location, so there are full training facilities within the building.
